Greetings to all the athletes and members who entrusted me with this position as the President of the Malaysian Association for Powerlifting (MAP). I hope, alongside with the Executive Board of MAP, we can serve everyone with the utmost integrity and become the bridge that connects the members and the ExCos.

With that being said, I would love to say I’ve seen how the powerlifting scene in Malaysia grow and evolved. What used to be a small and somewhat obscure sport is now becoming one of the fastest growing sport in the world. And it’s definitely growing in popularity in Malaysia as well.

All this can’t be achieve without every single one of you, the excos, the athletes, the members and of course to all the volunteers, all of you are the unsung heroes that help out at every meet and all of us in MAP are forever grateful.

With that in mind, let us all work to continue with the legacy of my predecessor and continue to grow the sports in Malaysia. We all can dream and it’s always been my dream to make Malaysia a Powerlifting powerhouse, a powerhouse in the region and maybe one day, in the world.
